I’ve been having storage problems on the little Atom. So his solution for me is to get me more storage, lots more storage!
It’s my 2009 Christmas present and it’s 500 GB worth of Western Digital Scorpio goodness. Not only that, it also does the job faster, and with virtually no sound compared to the stock one that I was using up until now. Thanks to him, I don’t have to worry about how my hard disk drives are perpetually showing up red.
But what can I do with the stock hard disk? He has another surprise for me, and it’s an external hard disk enclosure! This will come in very useful for me, especially when we’re transferring files from his machine to mine.

It’s time for his machine to get a boost, and the best boost would be an SSD hard disk.
With SSD, we really can see much of a difference compared to a traditional hard disk. Here’s what we’ve found:
- No noise!
- Greatly increased speed. Applications launch instantly. Very good for games, it shaves off the loading time.
- No more defragmenting
- It’s so cute and small!
On the downside, it runs out of space rather quickly. Better not use it for backups 
To fix this problem, I’m planning to get another one in the future and RAID 0 them for a combined 160GB of space and get double SSD speed goodness! Windows 7 Ultimate currently loads in 18 seconds and hopefully RAID – will be able to shave off a few more seconds!
Stroopwafels are originally meant to be eaten with a cup of steaming coffee. Yummy! For him at least

Because my mum has yet to try Krispy Kreme doughnuts, we bought a dozen of them in two boxes. A box for my mum, and a box for his mum.
They didn’t last long before they were all finished up!
