Currently Playing: Neverwinter Nights 2

This game was released on October 31, 2006 but after almost 2 years I am only playing it now. Why you ask? Well 2 years ago, I just didn’t have the hardware required to play it.

Having just finished Mass Effect, I didn’t have any games I could play so I started looking back at old games that I had missed. I’m an avid fan of RPG games especially ones based on the AD&D ruleset. Baldur’s Gate still happens to be my fav (although I could never bring myself to play the damn game long enough to finish it!).

When I first fired up the game and went to the Options screen, I thought hey, it’s an old game, so what the heck and merrily maxed out the graphics settings with 4xMSAA at 1920×1200 resolution. Unfortunately, my preconceptions were wrong! The outdoor environments were slideshow! However, turning it down to 2xMSAA smoothened it up enough to usher in playable framerates.

Silence! I KILL YOU!

The graphics were pretty good and didn’t make me feel like I’m playing and old game at all. Been a couple days at it and I’m still at Chapter 1. This one’s gonna take a while…

Prince of Persia: Sands of Time (2009)

I was googling for the latest scoop on Price of Persia: Prodigy when I stumbled upon this! Yes, Prince of Persia will soon be joining the ranks of game inspired movies come 2009! Looks like Jake Gyllenhaal (Brokeback Mountain) will be playing the Prince. Being a fan of the game series, I can’t wait for the movie, currently filming to be released!

Roadblock Season

Yet another road block today on Federal Highway approaching Kerinchi. Luckily it had just been setup at the time I was there (about 6.45ish in the morning) and traffic hasn’t built up yet so I got through fairly quick. These guys weren’t so fortunate though. Police said its part of their operations, operations for what? Mass inconvenience?

Hello world (yet again)!

Yes, after much thought and hesitation I finally revived my blog yet once again. This time, there’d be no fancy themes and layout. I’m just gonna keep things minimal, simple and easy. I might improve it from time to time if I’m not lazy enough.

What motivated me to start over again this time, you ask? Domain hosting renewal was just up and I figured I’d be paying yearly for all this it’s underutilised (by me). So yeah.. here’s a first step to making it worth what I paid for.
